Preschool is a critical time for learning and development, as children are preparing for their transition into kindergarten.
Cottontails strives to make this an easy integration by encouraging critical thinking, independence, and creativity. Teachers will create meaningful learning experiences that ensure every child is given the opportunity to practice the skills described in the CT-ELDS.
While free play will still be encouraged in our preschool classrooms, we will also begin to integrate a more structured curriculum. Through a mixture of independent play and teacher led learning, children will develop important critical thinking and reasoning skills.
